Janet's work with disabled children is incredible, as is her help and counsel to the parents of these children. My daughter started going to see Janet when she was just a few months old. We are still seeing her 16 years later, and both of us look forward to these sessions. Janet has always been the one person who could get her to use her body to its maximum potential.

To say Janet is a first-rate physical therapist is an understatement. Our daughter, Lizzie, who was born with a rare syndrome, has been seeing Janet for most of her 13 years. While Lizzie has benefited from Janet's hands-on therapy, her mother and I have enjoyed Janet's advice, wisdom, friendship and good cheer. Janet has become part of Lizzie's extended family; it's hard to imagine life without her.

Our girls can go into a session with Janet feeling tight and uncomforatble, and they come out an hour later feeling loose and at the top of their game. She also has been a wonderful resource for my daughter and her husband. She has counseled them on equipment, surgery and school placement. To know Janet is to have a friend and ally in the disabled community.

Janet began working with our daughter at just eight weeks of age, and the title "physical therapist" does little to describe the incredible knowledge she brings surrounding not just the physical but emotional and social development of our baby. Janet is an invaluable resource and partner, and brings all of this into our lives with a patient, optimistic and nurturing attitude.

Janet's holistic, multidisciplinary approach has not only advanced my daughter's physical capabilities but also strongly impacted her visual, speech (or oral motor) and cognitive development. She spends a considerable amount of time identifying how my daughter perceives her environment and customizes her program to meet her individual needs. Janet has a tremendous reputation and is very willing to leverage her extensive network and resources to benefit my child. Her calm and warm demeanor puts my daughter at ease and provides additional support for me.

Janet's title may be "physical therapist" but that simply does not describe all that she is and how she treats the whole child, not just the body. She is truly a healer, that's used her knowledge, her hands, her intuition and her open heart to help my child. Much of what I learned about parenting a child with disabilities I learned from Janet.
